LAHORE: A Canadian citizen has reportedly been kidnapped in Lahore. According to initial information, Hamza Ahmed had traveled to the city for research purposes and was staying at a friend’s residence in Defence Phase 10.
A kidnapping case has been registered by the police on the complaint of his friend, Yousaf Rashid.
The complainant stated that Hamza Ahmed arrived in Pakistan on February 13. He later booked a ride through a private cab service and left the house, but never returned.
DIG Operations Lahore, Muhammad Faisal Kamran, said that an investigation is under way to trace the missing foreign national.
