The federal government has declared a public holiday on August 26, 2026, in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi after approval by the Prime Minister.

A notification issued by the Cabinet Division confirmed that the holiday will now be observed on August 26 instead of the earlier announced date of August 25.

The Lahore High Court has also changed the holiday schedule for subordinate courts across Punjab. According to the revised notification issued on the directions of the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, subordinate courts will remain closed on Wednesday, August 26, to observe Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

Previously, the holiday for subordinate courts in Punjab was set for Tuesday, August 25. The latest notification officially changes the date to August 26.
