ISLAMABAD: Pakistani mountaineer Shah Daulat has accomplished a remarkable feat by successfully reaching the summit of Gasherbrum I, an 8,080-meter peak without using supplemental oxygen. This achievement marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s climbing history and highlights Shah’s incredible endurance and mountaineering skills.

Hailing from Gilgit, Shah Daulat completed the grueling ascent on Sunday at 11 AM, defying extreme conditions and the oxygen-scarce atmosphere that makes such climbs among the most challenging in the world.

Gasherbrum I, located in the Karakoram Range, is the 11th highest mountain on Earth. While it remains a dream destination for elite climbers, only a few have dared to summit it without the aid of bottled oxygen. Shah’s success puts him among this elite group and underscores his strength, resilience, and courage.

Following this incredible accomplishment, Shah Daulat has announced plans to scale Broad Peak, another formidable 8,000+ meter mountain in Pakistan. His determination to conquer more peaks shows his unwavering passion for mountaineering.

Shah’s achievement has inspired young climbers across Pakistan, reinforcing the country’s growing reputation in the international climbing community. His journey is a testament to what can be achieved through perseverance and skill, and he is widely regarded as a role model for aspiring adventurers.
