Cooking oil, ghee prices increase across Pakistan

Even with changes in petroleum product prices, inflation continues to affect the market, leading to a clear rise in the wholesale rates of ghee and cooking oil.

According to the All Pakistan General Store Association and local grocery shopkeepers, the price of premium-quality ghee and cooking oil has gone up by Rs30 per kilogram. The rate has increased from Rs560 to Rs590 per kg.

In the same way, second-grade cooking oil has become Rs35 more expensive, with its price rising from Rs510 to Rs545 per litre.

Second-grade ghee has also seen an increase of Rs25 per kilogram, moving from Rs510 to Rs535 per kg.

Traders say that the steady increase in the prices of essential items is adding more pressure on consumers. They point out that household budgets are becoming harder to manage as inflation continues to impact daily expenses.
