Murtaza Wahab has directed city authorities to finish all ongoing development and road works before Eid and made it clear that any delay will not be accepted.

During an early morning visit to several important locations, including Jahangir Road, Hidayatullah Road, Shahrah e Faisal, and parts of the Old City area, he called for faster progress and better coordination.

He referred to Jahangir Road as a key route that connects major roads of the city and instructed officials to make at least one side operational before the Eid holidays so that traffic congestion can be reduced.

The mayor urged municipal teams to focus on delivering results rather than holding meetings and giving presentations. “I don’t want briefings anymore,” he said, adding that since Ramadan has begun, people should witness visible improvements before Eid.

He expressed confidence that once completed, the projects will improve traffic movement across Karachi. He also directed officials to ensure quality construction work and stated that contractors will receive payments only after proper inspection and verification to maintain transparency and standards.
