A fourth-year medical student from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) was found dead in his hostel room on Sunday, police confirmed.
According to DSP Kotri, initial findings suggest the death may be a case of suicide, though investigators are continuing their examination to determine the exact circumstances.
In a separate incident in Peshawar, police said they discovered the body of another student in a private hostel. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to uncover the cause of death and gather forensic evidence from the site.
Officials noted that these cases follow a worrying pattern of student deaths reported in recent weeks.
Earlier, authorities in Lahore said an 18-year-old student from the Sundar area took his own life after struggling with a difficult exam. Police reported that the teenager was found hanging at his home.
