K-Electric has urged citizens to stay cautious while using electrical appliances during rain and strong winds in Karachi.

A spokesperson for the power company warned that using equipment like water pumps in rain or standing water can be hazardous.

People were also advised to keep a safe distance from TV and internet cables, snapped wires, and other electrical installations. The spokesperson further cautioned that drawing electricity through illegal connections and “kundas” could result in fatal incidents.

As a precaution, K-Electric may temporarily suspend power supply in low-lying areas where waterlogging has been reported. The utility assured that its teams are on high alert, closely monitoring the situation to ensure public safety and respond to emergencies.
