Lahore traffic police have introduced a detailed traffic plan to manage movement around six cattle markets set up across the city ahead of Eid ul Adha.
Under the plan, more than 200 traffic wardens have been deployed to help maintain smooth traffic flow and assist traders as well as visitors.
Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi said zonal officers from both City and Sadar divisions will supervise arrangements at all designated cattle markets.
The setup includes six DSPs, 18 sector in-charges, and over 200 wardens on duty. Six forklifts have also been arranged to remove encroachments and clear illegally parked vehicles.

To improve road safety, authorities have also imposed a complete ban on loader rickshaws and Qingqi rickshaws on Canal Road.
The CTO added that extra staff have been deployed at Dharampura, Mughalpura, and Thokar Niaz Baig to ensure enforcement of the restrictions. He said loader rickshaws carrying iron rods, steel pipes, and other materials in unsafe conditions pose a serious risk for road users.
He further instructed action against auto-rickshaw drivers who allow passengers to sit next to the driver, calling it a safety hazard.
Meanwhile, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana said security arrangements for cattle markets, traders, and buyers have been strengthened ahead of Eid ul Adha.
