PMDC announces date for MDCAT 2026 entry test

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the date for the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT 2026).

According to the council, the entry test required for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes will be held on 16 August 2026 (Sunday).

The PMDC also confirmed that the MDCAT-2026 will follow the MDCAT curriculum and syllabus 2025, as stated in its official notice.

Last year in October, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) released the results of MDCAT 2025.

A UHS spokesperson said 47,772 candidates appeared in the test held on October 26. The exam carried a total of 180 marks.

Out of the total candidates, 42,048 scored more than 50 percent marks, while 39,648 achieved above 55 percent, which is the minimum requirement for MBBS admission.

As per the result breakdown, 817 candidates scored between 170 and 180 marks, 5,955 scored between 160 and 169, while 6,993 candidates obtained marks in the 150 to 159 range.
