Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has announced special measures to ensure an uninterrupted gas supply during the holy month of Ramazan.

He said that gas will be available daily from 3:00 am to 10:30 pm throughout Ramazan. According to the minister, planning and operational preparations have already been completed to prevent shortages, especially during peak hours.

Malik shared that improved management and timely decisions have resulted in better gas availability this year compared to last winter. He added that extra gas arrangements have also been finalized to provide further ease to consumers during the month.

For close monitoring, situation rooms have been set up at the head offices of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited. Regional offices have been instructed to strengthen supervision of the distribution network, particularly during Sehri and Iftar hours.

The minister also announced the launch of a complaint registration system for the public. Citizens can report gas-related issues through the 1199 helpline. Managing Directors of the gas companies will personally oversee the resolution process.

A robo-call system will also be introduced to confirm whether consumers are satisfied with the service. Customers will have the option to report unresolved matters by pressing the “unsatisfied” button.

Malik said the government is taking every possible step to provide maximum relief to people during Ramazan.
