Gold prices rise again in Pakistan as silver hits record high

Gold prices moved higher in Pakistan on Wednesday, following an upward trend in the global market, while silver touched a new record level.

In the local bullion market, gold rose by Rs2,700 per tola to reach Rs453,562. The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs2,315, settling at Rs388,856, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Tuesday, gold per tola had ended at Rs450,862 after dropping Rs4,000 during the day.

Internationally, gold gained $27 to trade at $4,312 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Silver also continued its upward move, with the per tola price rising by Rs290 to Rs6,822, marking a new all-time high in the local market.
