The price of 24-karat gold saw another drop on Thursday, falling by Rs900 per tola to reach Rs355,100, down from Rs356,000 a day earlier, as reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.
This marks the third straight day of decline in gold prices. On Tuesday, the rate dropped by Rs700 per tola, followed by a sharp fall of Rs3,000 on Wednesday. The total reduction over the past three days now stands at Rs4,600 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went down by Rs771, settling at Rs304,441, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold decreased by Rs706, now priced at Rs279,081.
Silver rates also followed the same downward trend. The price per tola slipped by Rs50 to Rs3,964, and 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs43 to Rs3,398.
On the global front, the gold rate declined by $9, reaching $3,326 per ounce. Silver also lost ground, falling by $0.5 to settle at $37.80 an ounce.
