The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has withdrawn its earlier relaxation measures and announced that Friday will now be observed as a full working day, ending the work-from-home policy that had been in place for government offices.

According to official notifications shared by various media outlets, the provincial administration has discontinued the temporary arrangement that allowed government employees to work remotely on Fridays. Staff across departments are now required to attend offices in person.

In the past, the KP government has tested hybrid work models and adjusted office schedules as part of broader efforts within Pakistan’s public sector to improve efficiency while managing financial pressures.
