The federal government has announced that the prices of high speed diesel and Motor Spirit petrol will remain unchanged for the rest of January 2026.
High speed diesel will continue to be sold at Rs257.08 per litre, the same rate set on January 1. Petrol will also stay at Rs253.17 per litre for the next two weeks.
In a statement, the Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division said the decision was taken on the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority. The rates will remain in effect from January 16, 2026.
During the previous fortnight, the government had reduced diesel prices by Rs8.57 per litre, while petrol saw a cut of Rs10.28 per litre.
