The Sindh government has introduced a new route for Karachi’s women-only Pink Bus Service, with the service scheduled to start on November 17, 2025.
This route will run from Abdullah Chowk to Numaish, giving women a dedicated travel option during the city’s busiest hours.
Provincial Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon shared the update on Saturday. He said the Pink Bus will run at three specific times every day: 8am to 9am, 1pm to 2pm, and 5pm to 7pm.
The set timings are meant to make travel easier and safer for women who commute through crowded areas.
Sharjeel said the service is meant solely for women, with a strong focus on comfort and safety. Each bus has security measures, tracking systems, and trained staff to make sure passengers feel secure.
He also mentioned that the Sindh government plans to expand the Pink Bus routes to more parts of the city in the near future.
The minister added that this initiative supports the government’s effort to improve women’s access to education and jobs by giving them a dependable and safe way to travel.
