Bahawalpur has received 13 additional electric buses, increasing its total fleet to 35. The expansion is expected to improve public transport services and bring bus facilities to more parts of the city.

Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar confirmed the arrival of the second batch of buses on Wednesday. He said the new vehicles would strengthen the city’s electric bus service and claimed that Bahawalpur now has the largest electric bus fleet among Punjab’s major cities.

With more buses available, authorities are considering extending the service to areas that are not currently covered. However, the new routes have not yet been finalized.
