The Higher Education Commission’s Education Testing Council (ETC) has announced new dates for several admission and recruitment exams that were earlier postponed.

According to the updated schedule, the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT), the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) for MS/MPhil and PhD programs, and the AML/CFT Recruitment Test, originally planned for October 11–12, 2025, will now be held on Saturday, November 1, and Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Similarly, the Law Admission Test (LAT), initially set for November 2, will now take place on November 9, 2025.

In a press release issued Friday, the HEC said the postponement was made “in view of the current law and order situation in several cities across the country.” Registered candidates will receive the revised schedule shortly.

The decision came after protests by the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) outside the US Embassy in Islamabad led to widespread restrictions, including road closures, communication disruptions, and the imposition of Article 144 in Rawalpindi.

Security forces sealed key routes and suspended internet services in both Islamabad and Rawalpindi to maintain order.
