The Metro bus service in Rawalpindi has been partially suspended today due to Chehlum processions.

According to the administration, buses will not operate between Saddar Station and Faizabad, while the service within Islamabad, from IJP to Pak Secretariat, will run as usual.

The suspension, ordered by the district administration, is aimed at ensuring smooth security arrangements during the religious gatherings. Commuters using the Rawalpindi section have been advised to seek alternative transport.

The Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions is being marked across the country with processions and gatherings to honour their sacrifices. Security has been tightened, with containers placed to block routes around the procession paths.

In Karachi, the main mourning procession will start from Nishtar Park and conclude at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar, following its traditional route. Additional police and Rangers have been deployed at Numaish and nearby areas to maintain order.
