LDA seals 108 properties during Lahore crackdown

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sealed 108 properties across different parts of Lahore as part of an ongoing campaign against illegal commercial activities and owners who failed to pay commercial fees.

According to an LDA spokesperson, the Town Planning Wing carried out the operation on the instructions of Director General Tahir Farooq. The crackdown covered Gulberg, New Garden Town, Shadman, Wapda Town and Sabzazar.

During the operation, 30 properties in Gulberg and New Garden Town, 23 in Shadman and another 30 in Wapda Town were sealed for unauthorized commercial use. In a separate action, the authority also sealed 25 properties in Sabzazar for failing to pay commercial fees.

The affected properties included private schools, grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, food outlets, bakeries, beauty salons, clinics, workshops, shops and offices.

The enforcement drive was supervised by Chief Town Planner-I Asad-uz-Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali.
