New passenger and cargo flights between Uzbekistan and Pakistan will soon begin as both countries move to improve air connectivity.

Uzbek carriers Centrum Air and My Freighter are set to roll out fresh services that include scheduled passenger flights and dedicated cargo operations. From March 30, 2026, Centrum Air will operate nonstop flights between Tashkent and Lahore.

The airline plans to run the route twice a week using Airbus A320 aircraft. At the same time, My Freighter will start cargo flights to Karachi, giving a boost to freight movement between the two nations.

The move comes after high level talks aimed at strengthening bilateral relations. During his recent visit to Pakistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted the need for direct air links to promote trade, tourism, and closer ties between the people of both countries.

Officials say the new services will make business travel easier, streamline logistics and encourage growing commercial activity between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, Founder and CEO of Centrum Holding, said the launch of the routes is more than just expanding to new destinations, calling it the creation of a sustainable air bridge that supports regional cooperation and economic growth.
