Gold and silver see sudden dip in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan slipped on Thursday, bringing an end to the recent upward trend as the rate fell by Rs3,700 per tola in the local market.

Data released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association showed that the price of gold per tola declined to Rs482,462. At the same time, the cost of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs3,172, settling at Rs413,633.

Just a day earlier on Wednesday, gold had closed at Rs486,162 per tola after gaining Rs4,300 during the session.

In the global market, gold also moved lower, shedding $37 to trade at $4,601 per ounce, which includes a $20 premium.

Silver followed the downward trend as well, with its price falling by Rs. 150 to reach Rs9,425 per tola.
