Honda car sales fall slightly in Pakistan, PAMA data reveals

ISLAMABAD: Sales of Honda cars in Pakistan dropped slightly in the first two months of fiscal year 2025-26, even as overall car sales and production in the country rose sharply, according to figures released by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).

The data shows Honda sold 1,842 units between July and August this year, down 1.12 percent from 1,863 units in the same period last year. In contrast, Honda’s production increased by 17.61 percent, rising from 1,817 units to 2,137 units.

Overall, the auto industry witnessed a strong rebound. Car sales surged 40.06 percent, climbing from 12,274 to 17,192 units, while production doubled to 22,446 units from 11,171 units during the same period.

Among individual brands, Toyota Corolla and Yaris production grew by 56.66 percent, from 3,254 to 5,098 units. Suzuki Swift output jumped 79.83 percent, from 1,245 to 2,239 units, while Hyundai Elantra production increased from 103 to 286 units.

PAMA confirmed that Honda sold 1,842 units during July-August 2025, slightly lower than last year’s 1,863 units.
