Traffic police personnel across Punjab are set to receive new uniforms as the provincial police department moves to replace the existing grey attire with white shirts and navy blue trousers.
According to police sources, the uniform replacement programme will be carried out across the province during the current financial year.
Lahore Traffic Police had already introduced the new uniform last year as part of the first phase of the transition. The change was planned in stages, starting with Lahore before being extended to traffic police units in other districts.

Sources said Punjab Inspector General Abdul Karim has approved the purchase of around 12,000 new uniforms for traffic police personnel.
The authorities are expected to start the pre-qualification process for suppliers this week as preparations begin for the province-wide rollout.
Officials said the new uniform is aimed at giving traffic police personnel a more consistent appearance across Punjab while gradually replacing the old grey attire.
