The Government of Sindh has declared Friday, 13 March 2026, a public holiday across the province.

According to an official notification issued on Thursday, β€œThe government of Sindh has been pleased to declare March 13, 2026 (Friday) as a public holiday throughout the province of Sindh for all government offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of the government of Sindh, except essential services.”

The notification does not mention a specific reason for the holiday. However, media reports indicate that it coincides with Jummatul Wida, the last Friday of Ramadan, so people can take part in prayers and other religious activities.

Since schools and colleges are already closed, the announcement mainly affects government employees and administrative offices.

Students will not be impacted, while staff working in government and autonomous institutions will get the day off. Essential services such as healthcare, emergency response and municipal operations will continue to function as usual.
