The Punjab government has confirmed that summer vacations will not be extended and schools across the province will reopen on August 24 as scheduled.

School Education Secretary Mudassar Riaz dismissed reports circulating on social media about a possible extension of the summer holidays.

He said the School Education Department had not made any decision to extend the break and confirmed that schools would resume classes according to the existing schedule.

Riaz advised parents to ignore unverified reports about the reopening of schools and rely only on official updates from the School Education Department.

He said educational activities across Punjab would resume normally from August 24. The secretary also made it clear that there was no proposal under consideration to extend the summer break beyond the announced reopening date.

The clarification was issued after reports of a possible extension began circulating on social media. The reports had caused confusion among students and parents over the date schools would reopen.
