The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has announced over 830 vaccinator vacancies in different districts of the province to improve immunization services.
According to a notification issued by the Director of Health Services, the recruitment process for vaccinators under the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) has formally started.
These appointments will be made on a temporary contract basis for the fiscal year 2025–26.
Officials said the provincial government has allocated Rs253.16 million for the hiring campaign, while successful candidates will be paid a monthly salary of Rs40,000.

The Health Department has instructed all District Health Officers to complete the recruitment process at the earliest. Hiring will be carried out under the Initial Appointment Rules for Civil Servants 2026.
To support the process, the department has also shared a district-wise breakdown of the vacant posts.
The move comes as Pakistan continues its efforts to control polio cases in high-risk regions. Earlier this month, two new polio cases were confirmed in Bannu and North Waziristan, taking the total number of cases reported this year to three.
Sources at the National Institute of Health said one case was detected in Jani Khel, Bannu, while the second surfaced in Gariom, North Waziristan.
Officials added that anti-polio campaigns are still suspended in some union councils because of security issues, leaving vaccination teams unable to access several areas.
