Gold prices steady in Pakistan after hitting record high

Gold prices in Pakistan held steady on Wednesday, with the rate per tola recorded at Rs388,100, a day after reaching a historic peak.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of gold was reported at Rs332,733.

On Tuesday, prices had jumped by Rs4,100 per tola, touching the record high of Rs388,100. International gold rates also remained unchanged at $3,654 per ounce.

Silver prices in the local market followed the same trend, with the per tola rate stable at Rs4,358.

Globally, gold prices edged higher on Wednesday, staying above the key $3,600-per-ounce level. Spot gold rose by 0.5 percent to $3,644.54 per ounce at 0652 GMT, after hitting a record $3,673.95 on Tuesday.
