KARACHI: Temperatures in the city fell to single digits as the cold wave continued, with the minimum recorded at 9.5°C, the Pakistan Meteorological Department said on Saturday.
The Met Office said the cold spell is likely to persist for another two days in Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
Despite the chill, the maximum temperature in the city is expected to range between 24°C and 26°C today, while humidity levels remain around 58 percent.
Across Sindh, the lowest temperature of 3°C was recorded in Mithi and Mohen Jo Daro. Sukkur and Nawabshah reported 5°C, Dadu 6°C, Hyderabad 7°C, while Karachi and Thatta recorded 9°C.
The Met Office had earlier warned of a severe cold wave in the region, with temperatures expected to drop into single digits.
Severe cold conditions continue to prevail in most parts of the country.
