The Clifton Cantonment Board (CBC) has identified 125 buildings as unsafe and has ordered residents to leave immediately to avoid any danger.

This action comes after a deadly building collapse in Lyari last week, which claimed 27 lives. In response, CBC launched a detailed survey to assess the structural safety of buildings within its limits.

Officials confirmed that the dangerous structures include 51 in Delhi Colony, 16 in Madinabad, 7 in Lower Gizri, 5 in Chaudhry Khaliq-uz-Zaman Colony, and 14 in Punjab Colony.

Additionally, 27 buildings in Pak Jumpur Colony and 5 in Bakhshan Village have also been marked unfit for living.

Authorities have stressed that these buildings are a serious threat to life and property, especially with the monsoon season underway. Residents and owners have been told to vacate without delay.

This survey is part of a broader initiative to identify and address unsafe buildings throughout the city, as prompted by the recent Lyari tragedy.

CBC added that more inspections are ongoing to ensure the safety of residents across all areas under its management.
