The road at Jahangir Road has recently been resurfaced and upgraded as part of the city’s ongoing infrastructure improvements. Officials say the work is meant to make travel easier and safer for residents as well as for the many people who use the road every day.

One important change is the use of fibre manhole covers instead of the traditional metal ones. Authorities introduced this step to stop the frequent theft of metal covers, which are often taken by drug addicts or vandals in different areas of the city.

City engineers said that fibre covers are strong, lighter in weight, and more secure. Because of this, they help cut down maintenance expenses and also make the roads safer for the public. Officials also appealed to residents to help protect public property so that these improvements can last.

People living in the area welcomed the development. They said the improved road surface and the new manhole covers have made commuting smoother and safer.

Authorities added that these changes show the government’s effort to modernize the city’s infrastructure while also dealing with safety and security issues.

The work on Jahangir Road is part of wider urban development efforts aimed at improving traffic movement, road safety, and the overall appearance of the city. Officials believe that with proper maintenance and cooperation from citizens, these public facilities can remain in good condition for a long time.
