Gold price hits another record in Pakistan, nears Rs420,000 per tola

Gold prices in Pakistan hit a new record high on Tuesday, following the global rally in precious metals.

In the domestic market, the price of gold rose by Rs1,500 per tola, reaching Rs416,778, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The rate for 10 grams also went up by Rs1,286 to Rs357,319. A day earlier, gold had already jumped by Rs5,400 per tola to Rs415,278.

Globally, gold extended its gains, with APGJSA quoting the international rate at $3,955 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $15 increase. Spot gold traded near $3,960 per ounce after touching a fresh peak of $3,977.19 earlier in the day.

In contrast, silver prices in Pakistan declined by Rs20 per tola, settling at Rs4,929.
