Gold prices continue to rise in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Friday, following the third major increase in international gold rates.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold rose by Rs5,100 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs454,336.

The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs4,372, reaching Rs389,519.

A day earlier, on Thursday, gold prices had climbed by Rs11,300 per tola to settle at Rs449,236.

In the international market, gold gained $51 per ounce, pushing the global price to $4,319 per ounce.

Silver prices also moved higher, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs280 to reach Rs6,939 on Friday.
