Quetta is experiencing a severe cold wave, with temperatures dropping to minus 4°C and even minus 7°C in Kalat and Ziarat, while residents face low gas pressure amid freezing conditions, the Pakistan Meteorological Department reported.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) warned that harsh winter weather will continue in northern regions, including Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, and northern Balochistan, urging people to take precautions against respiratory illnesses.

Authorities also cautioned that the extreme cold could harm standing crops and create dangerous travel conditions due to dense fog, while the NDMA ensures that timely warnings and information are shared with relevant institutions and the public.
