Government cuts petrol price, diesel remains stable

On 5 June, the federal government announced a slight reduction in petroleum product prices, according to sources.

Petrol price has been cut by Rs4 per litre. High-speed diesel, however, remains unchanged.

After the revision, petrol will now cost Rs377.56 per litre, down from Rs381.56. Diesel continues to be priced at Rs380.56 per litre.

An official notification from the Petroleum Division is expected soon to confirm the new rates.

The updated prices will take effect from 12 AM on 6 June 2026.

Just a week earlier, fuel prices had already been reduced significantly by Rs22.22 per litre. At that time, petrol was set at Rs 381.56 per litre, while diesel was brought down to Rs380.56 per litre.
