The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a flood alert for April 7 and 8, warning of rising water levels and potential flash floods in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and nearby areas.
The advisory states that the Kabul River at Nowshera is likely to reach low to medium flood levels during this period. Flash flooding is also expected in tributaries such as the Kohat Toi, Kurram, and Gomal rivers, along with streams and nullahs in Kashmir.
Urban areas including Peshawar, Mardan, and Nowshera, may face flooding due to predicted rainfall and runoff. The PMD has advised authorities to “remain on alert and take necessary precautionary measures to manage the situation.”
