Gold prices saw a significant drop in the local market on Friday, with the rate of 24-karat gold per tola falling by Rs21,400, bringing the new price to Rs507,762. The figures were shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold declined by Rs18,347, reaching Rs435,324. The rate for 10 grams of 22-karat gold also went down by Rs16,819, settling at Rs399,061.
Silver prices followed the same downward trend. The price per tola of silver dropped by Rs1,430 to Rs7,825, while 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs1,226, bringing the price to Rs6,708.
In the global market, gold prices fell by $214 per ounce, reaching $4,850. Meanwhile, silver prices declined by $14.30 per ounce, settling at $73.50.
