Gold prices maintained an upward trend on Tuesday in both the Pakistani and international markets, as per the report.
Figures released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association show that the price of gold in Pakistan climbed to Rs467,962 per tola, marking an increase of Rs3,200 in a single day. The rate for 10 grams of gold also went up by Rs2,743 to settle at Rs401,201.
A day earlier, gold had touched Rs464,762 per tola after a sharp rise of Rs9,200. In the global market, gold prices moved higher by $32, taking the rate to $4,456 per ounce with a $20 premium. Silver prices followed the same trend, rising by Rs338 to reach Rs8,361 per tola.
