Punjab has decided to carry out physical verification of students enrolled in private schools across the province. Schools found guilty of showing fake enrolment may face cancellation of their licences.
The verification drive will cover all licensed private schools across Punjab’s 41 districts. Authorities have directed that the process be completed by November 20.
District focal persons and Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) have been assigned to oversee the exercise. AEOs will personally visit their assigned schools to verify student enrolment.

All licensed schools will be notified at least one day before the verification visit.
