Islamabad Police terminates contracts of 29 officers

Islamabad Inspector General of Police has decided to end the contracts of all 29 employees working on a contractual basis in different departments, including the police.

According to sources, several former police officers and personnel were also working on contract in different positions. Their contracts have also been cancelled.

A formal notification has been issued following the decision.

Sources said the contracts of employees working in the IT Department have also been terminated. Those affected include a director and a software engineer.

The list of employees whose contracts have been cancelled includes three law officers, four former SSPs and three former DSPs.

Sources further said that following the IG Islamabad’s decision, authorities are also considering the future of other contract employees working in various departments.
