Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has opened applications for the Chief Minister’s Electric Bike Scheme, allowing students across the province to apply for electric bikes at subsidized rates.
The application process started on September 5, and eligible students can register through the official scheme portal.
100,000 Electric Bikes for Students
Under the program, the Punjab government plans to provide 100,000 electric bikes to students enrolled in educational institutions across the province.
Students studying at government and private schools, colleges and universities are eligible to apply. The scheme covers students from more than 33,000 public and private educational institutions across Punjab.

The electric bikes will be offered in different colors, while pink bikes will be allocated to female students.
Electric Bike Cost and Monthly Installments
Each electric bike has a listed price of PKR 199,000. However, students will have to pay PKR 109,000.
The student contribution can be paid over 36 months, with a monthly installment of PKR 3,028. The Punjab government will cover insurance, mark-up and registration charges, helping reduce the cost for participating students.
How Students Can Apply
Eligible students can submit their applications through the official CM Punjab Electric Bike Scheme portal.
The scheme aims to make transportation more accessible for students and help them travel to and from their educational institutions more easily.
Maryam Nawaz said the application process had been opened as promised, allowing students across Punjab to apply for the electric bikes.
