Prices in the city’s open markets have been rising without control, especially the cost of broiler meat, which has increased significantly in the past few days.
According to sources, broiler meat prices went up by Rs27 per kilogram in the last two days and have now reached the official rate of Rs495 per kilogram.
At the same time, beef is being sold at Rs600 per kilogram, making it difficult for ordinary consumers. Even Ramadan bazaars have not been spared, with broiler meat being sold at around Rs480 per kilogram.

People have appealed to Maryam Nawaz to take immediate notice of the situation and help control the rising food prices.
