The Government of Balochistan has announced more than 25,000 job openings in various departments from Grade 1 to Grade 15, making it one of the biggest recruitment drives in the province in recent years. A separate summary for nearly 4,000 additional posts in Grades 16 and 17 has also been sent to the Balochistan Public Service Commission for recruitment through a transparent process.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti reiterated the government’s commitment to fair governance and merit based recruitment. He emphasized that no government job will be sold or given through unfair means. He said the recruitment campaign is aimed at providing respectable employment opportunities to the youth of Balochistan while ensuring that hiring is carried out strictly on merit.
Departments that have already completed tests and interviews are expected to issue appointment letters to successful candidates soon to prevent unnecessary delays. For the remaining vacancies, the government plans to introduce an online testing system based on the Finance Department’s model to ensure a fair and unbiased selection process.
The recruitment drive is part of broader reforms introduced in Balochistan to eliminate favoritism and rebuild public confidence in government hiring.
In a major development, the province recently conducted its first online merit based recruitment test for 111 Sub Accountant posts in the Finance Department. Nearly 5,700 candidates appeared in the fully digital and paperless examination, which was widely appreciated as a step towards transparent governance.
The Chief Minister personally contacted successful candidates during the testing process to verify its transparency. Officials confirmed that appointments will be made purely on merit without any influence of recommendations or financial pressure.
Through this large scale hiring initiative, the provincial government aims to promote equal employment opportunities, strengthen accountability and improve public trust while helping to reduce unemployment in the province.
