Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced seven more electric buses for Sargodha as part of efforts to improve public transport facilities in the city.
She announced during a meeting with Punjab Assembly members from Sargodha. The lawmakers appreciated the launch of the electric bus service and thanked the chief minister for introducing the facility. They also praised the completion of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology in Sargodha in a record time.
According to the lawmakers, thousands of residents are using the electric bus service every day on routes connecting Bhalwal, Bhera, University, DHQ, Shahinabad, Kot Momin and Tehsil Sahiwal.
During the meeting, Maryam Nawaz also asked the lawmakers to keep a close watch on the progress of Model Village, Suthra Punjab and clean drinking water projects in their areas.

The meeting also discussed proposals aimed at speeding up ongoing development projects. The lawmakers shared positive feedback from the public about several government initiatives.
Maryam Nawaz said she was happy to see citizens, especially women and children, traveling comfortably on the electric buses. She said the government was providing all available resources to make life easier for the people and stressed that equal development across all parts of Punjab was a key priority.
