PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Information Technology Dr. Shafqat Ayaz has introduced online traffic challan payment system, marking a major step towards digital governance and public convenience.
With this new system, citizens will no longer need to stand in long lines at banks or visit offices to pay traffic fines. Instead, they can now pay challans easily from their mobile phones or computers. The system is also connected to a central platform for better performance and integration.
Once a challan is issued, the individual will receive an instant SMS alert, allowing them to access and pay the fine quickly and securely. This initiative is designed to improve public service delivery, reduce waiting time, and eliminate unnecessary visits to traffic offices.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz emphasized that online traffic challan payment system will enhance transparency, eliminates chance of corruption and improves government revenue.
He said that this initiative will save citizens time and resources, making the entire process hassle-free.
Moreover, online traffic challan payment system has also been introduced in Punjab province.
