A key meeting was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of the Sindh Minister for Local Government to move forward with the Special Road Rehabilitation Program. The initiative focuses on repairing 139 roads in different municipal corporations to improve the city’s infrastructure. The Mayor of Karachi and other senior officials attended the session.

Officials confirmed that tenders for the rehabilitation work will be published in newspapers today, so that construction can start at the earliest.

Along with road repairs, the project will cover solarization, installation of new street lights, and other development activities. Local government representatives and councillors are taking an active role to make sure the work is completed on time.

Authorities also said that all relevant institutions are working in close coordination to meet deadlines, intending to deliver better roads and safer, more sustainable urban facilities for residents.
