This tragedy highlights a growing safety crisis in Karachi. So far this year, 24 citizens, including five children, have died after falling into open drains and sewers.
The CCTV footage has reignited public outrage over the city’s neglect of safety, raising urgent questions about accountability and the measures needed to prevent further disasters.
