The Pakistan Airports Authority has introduced 5G services at Islamabad International Airport, becoming the first airport in the country to offer next-generation mobile connectivity.

A PAA spokesperson said, “Passengers can now access high-speed internet, enabling seamless video calls, streaming, and fast browsing while at the airport.” This move represents an important step in modernizing Pakistan’s aviation infrastructure.

Officials noted that 5G connectivity is currently available outside the terminal and surrounding areas. Technical teams are working to extend coverage inside the terminal, with the full rollout planned to happen in phases.
