The number of mobile phone users in the country continues to grow at a fast pace. In just one month, more than 2 million new users joined cellular networks, taking the total subscriber base beyond 2.025 billion.
According to sources from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the total number of mobile users stood at 2,005.5 million in December 2025. By January 2026, the addition of over 2 million new subscribers pushed the figure up to 2,025.75 million.
PTA officials also shared that the number of 3G and 4G users has reached 1,533.25 million. During this period, overall teledensity increased from 81.33 percent to 82 percent.
The availability of next generation mobile services has also improved, with coverage expanding from 60.32 percent to 61.32 percent across the country.
