A spell of wet weather is expected to affect many parts of the country in the coming days, as the Meteorological Department has forecast rain, thunderstorms and strong winds in several regions from May 2 to May 4.
According to the Met Office, weather conditions will start changing from the evening of May 2 and continue until May 4 in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Districts such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan, Mansehra, Battagram, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Charsadda, Bannu and Lakki Marwat are likely to receive rain along with strong winds and thunderstorms.
Karak, Kohat, Hangu, Kurram, Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan and Tank may also experience rain, with chances of strong winds and hailstorms.
In Punjab and Islamabad, similar weather is expected. Murree, Galiyat, Attock and Chakwal are likely to receive rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds from the night of May 2 through May 4.
Other areas of Punjab, including Jhelum, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Mianwali, are also expected to see rain and thunderstorms. Weather activity is also likely in Khushab, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Okara, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan.

In Gilgit-Baltistan, rain and thunderstorms are expected on May 2 and 3 in Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Nagar and Ghizer.
Kashmir will also remain under the influence of this system, with rain, thunderstorms and strong winds expected in Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Poonch, Bagh, Haveli and Kotli on May 2 and 3. Some areas may receive heavy rainfall.
Balochistan is also likely to experience similar weather from May 2 to May 4. Rain, thunderstorms and strong winds are expected in Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Khuzdar, Kalat, Sibi, Naseerabad and Lasbela.
Meanwhile, some parts of Sindh may receive rain and thunderstorms at isolated places between May 2 and May 3, along with strong and dusty winds.
