Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has clarified the situation regarding Friday holidays for schools, colleges, and universities across the province.
He explained that while educational institutions will remain closed on Fridays, they are permitted to hold online classes. He also thanked the public for their patience and cooperation.
This clarification follows a notification issued by the Punjab School Education Department, which stated that all public and private schools in Punjab will stay closed on Fridays until further notice.

As per the notification, schools will follow revised timings from Monday to Thursday. Single-shift schools will operate from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, while double-shift schools will run morning classes from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm and afternoon sessions from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
